Compass School is a Specialized Treatment Center (STC) located at Escambia County Alternative School that provides behavioral healthcare services through Southwest Behavioral Healthcare for students 13 years of age to 18 years of age for Escambia County, Alabama residents. All students placed at this facility are placed by either Southwest Behavioral Healthcare and/or court ordered through the Escambia County juvenile court system.
The Escambia County Alternative School provides various school-based behavioral intervention and transitional services for middle/high school students within the Escambia County School District. Students placed at the Alternative School may be referred for Compass services with Southwest Behavioral Healthcare by the district’s Alternative Placement Review Committee. Compass services gives parents the option for additional support and intervention for their child's social-emotional wellness while at Escambia County Alternative School.
